A DANCE FEVER OF 1518

In the year in the midst of 1518, a most peculiar affliction struck the city within Strasbourg. Upon a dreary day, Frau Troffea, a woman lauded, was witnessed dancing in the streets violently. Her energy was unmatched, and it danced unrelenting for days. Folklore spread like wildfire as others began by a similar urge to dance. Hundreds throughout
